LIABILITY IN TRUCK ACCIDENTS AND DANGEROUS STRETCHES OF ROAD
Generally speaking, truck drivers have a responsibility to drive according to the prevailing conditions of the road and maintain a safe distance with the cars ahead of it. If a truck driver rear-ends another vehicle, that is fairly strong evidence that they were not maintaining a safe distance in order to avoid a collision. Any person that sustains injuries due to the negligence of a truck driver may be able to file a claim against the company that the truck driver works for. Similarly, cities also have a responsibility to maintain and create roads that are reasonably safe. If there is a curve with limited visibility and that contributes to an accident, any person injured in the crash may be able to file a claim against the city for damages.
