Construction Worker Injured In Fall In Jersey City Heights; Construction Accident At 15 Leonard Street Remains Under Investigation
JERSEY CITY HEIGHTS, NEW JERSEY (January 3, 2018) – A worker was injured after he fell from the third floor to the second floor at a home in Jersey City Heights on 15 Leonard Street.
Police in Jersey City Heights are saying that there were no permits at the scene. There was also no fall arrest system.
Other materials fell on the worker and injured him after the initial fall from the third to second floor. The victim was attempting to install stairs a the time of the fall.
Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident and transported the construction worker to the RWJBarnabas Health’s Jersey City Medical Center.
