LIABILITY IN CAR ACCIDENTS AT DANGEROUS INTERSECTIONS
Cities have a responsibility to maintain reasonably safe roads for drivers as well as pedestrians. If there is a certain location where there is a history of accidents, that puts the city on notice that there may be underlying safety issues that need to be addressed. If a city fails to take action to correct a dangerous condition on public property, they may be liable in the event of an accident. A victim may be able to file a claim against the city for damages.
