Arian Hila Injured And In Critical Condition After Tappan Construction Accident Involving Falling Debris Chute
TAPPAN, NEW YORK (February 26, 2018) – A 49-year-old construction worker was seriously injured after he was hit by a falling debris chute while renovating a Masonic Home building.
Tappan authorities have been able to identify the worker that was seriously injured as Arian Hila.
Police are saying that two workers were attempting to clear the debris chute when it detached and fell onto Arian Hila.
The victim was crushed by the weight of the debris chute and had to be rescued by firefighters.
The construction accident remains under investigation by OSHA. Arian Hila was taken to the Nyack Hospital in critical condition in order to receive treatment for his injuries.
