Michael Henry Burned After E-Cigarette Exploded While It Was Charging; Battery Charging Accident Under Investigation
SYKESVILLE, MARYLAND (January 8, 2018) – A man from Sykesville Maryland was injured in an e-cigarette explosion accident after the device blew up while he was charging it.
Authorities have been able to identify the man that was injured in the explosion as Michael Henry.
Michael Henry was rushed to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center hospital. He sustained burns to over 18-percent of his body including his chest, arms and face according to the state Fire Marshall.
Sykesville police are saying that they’ve had to respond to quite a few e-cigarette explosion accidents since the products were first introduced.
Michael Henry was listed in fair condition as of Monday.
