Toolia Rambarose Died In Pedestrian Car Accident After Being Hit By Van Making Left Turn At Liberty Avenue near 135th Street In Richmond Hills; Collision Under Investigation
QUEENS, NEW YORK (February 16, 2018) – A 70-year-old woman was tragically killed as she was walking across the street when the driver of a Ford Van hit her while making a left turn.
Queens police have been able to identify the pedestrian that died in the car accident as Toolia Rambarose.
Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident in order to treat Toolia Rambarose for her injuries.
Medics took her to the Jamaica Medical Center in critical condition. Unfortunately, Toolia Rambarose was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the van was arrested at the scene and has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
