LIABILITY IN AIRPLANE ACCIDENTS
When an airline employee is injured in an accident they will typically be able to file a worker’s compensation claim in order to help with lost wages and medical expenses. In addition to worker’s compensation, an airline employee may be able to file a third party liability claim if another company was negligent in causing their injury. In particular, the traffic controller is supposed to monitor the flow of airplanes at an airport. If they are negligent in providing a reasonably safe environment for worker’s or passengers that may create liability. Moreover, if a piece of machinery malfunctions and causes an injury, an injured worker may be able to file a products liability claim against the manufacture.
