Raven Barzda Died In Fatal Motorcycle Crash Involving Big Rig Truck On Route 206 Freeway

HAMPTON, NEW JERSEY (February 26, 2018) –  A 25-year-old motorcyclist was tragically killed in a truck accident on the 206 Highway.

Hampton police have been able to identify the woman that died in the motorcycle crash as Raven Barzda.

A tractor-trailer driver making a u-turn in the middle of the road drove into the path Raven Barzda just before the accident.

Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene of the motorcycle accident in order to treat the victim for her injuries.

Unfortunately, Raven Barzda was later pronounced dead at the Newton Medical Center.

Truck drivers have a responsibility to drive in a reasonably safe manner according to the prevailing conditions of the road. The law requires drivers making left hand turns and u-turns to yield to all traffic that are close enough to pose a hazard. Moreover, a truck driver should never make a u-turn in the middle of a narrow roadway. That is a recipe for disaster and may very well impose liability on the truck driver. If a truck driver causes an accident through their own negligence, the company that the truck driver works for may be vicariously liable.
