Bethpage School Bus Crash Injured 49-Year-Old Man By North Wantagh Avenue and Hicksville Road; Bicycle Accident Under Investigation
BETHPAGE, NEW YORK (February 7, 2018) – A 49-year-old man was injured in a bus accident while he was riding a bicycle near North Wantagh Avenue and Hicksville Road early Wednesday morning around 7:10 a.m.
Bethpage authorities are saying that the ACME school bus involved in the accident was traveling north at the time of the collision.
The bicyclist was thrown off after he was hit by the minibus and sustained severe head injuries. Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene in order to treat the victim for his injuries before he was transported to a hospital.
An investigation into the bus crash remains ongoing.
